Just from the hurricanes last year and Tsunumai's if anything it is a humbling thought about how powerless we all are. Subject to the randomness of nature.

It is funny how we are in fighting among ourselves with our wars, yet their is a battle no one can win. The battle with mother earth is definetly not always in our thoughts until it shows up on our doorsteps and then there is nothing we can do.

Even with all our technological advancements that have been made, no real solution has ever been made to defy natures will. Mostly small advancements have been made to improve our chance of survival, but nothing to stop nature's destruction.

At least with wars and fighting a human can win, but with a hurricane or earthquake...we either lose or if we're lucky, we can walk away with what we hold most dear in our life.

If anything this is just one of those amazing things about life. When we should be trying to survive mother nature, we instead are occupying ourselves with our petty squabbles.

I'm no prophet but, I am sure this will likely happen one day. I hope it is not anytime soon, but nature will present such a problem one day that none of our wars or battles will matter, just survival. It's sad tha humans need to have their backs against the wall and wait for that moment before we realize what is truly important.

I don't know if this makes sense, but in a sense I feel i've lost faith in humanity as a group, but have hope for the individuals. That in pockets of humanity their is hope, but as a whole my faith in groups is limited.

Nature is intanigible, but doesn't it sometimes almost feel like their is message or something being stated with the destruction it causes. Or perhaps maybe it's just something we're wishing for, but doesn't really exist.
